One of the greatest things about traveling is being able to try something new and removing yourself from your comfort zone - can't have things get too dull and boring. One fantastic way to do this on any trip is to sample the local delights. Every country has their own spices and flavour in which they cook their food creating some outrageously delicious foods as well as some not so tasty dishes.
More often than not if I'm out with a local or even with friends I'll eat what gets put in front of me. I'd rather regret doing something than regret not doing it. However, I have found that when walking around on my own I'm very good and finding reasons why I don't need to try something. Of course, I do feel guilty afterwards.
Below is a prime example: Chicken Feet Curry. Looks good right? My excuse as I walked passed - "I've tried the Chinese Dim Sum version so I don't need to try the curry version." I know, it's weak but it was enough to allow me to take a photo and move on.
I bet you wouldn't have tried it!
